Personal Care
Do you need a little help just getting up in the
morning, having a bath and getting dressed?
Our caregivers are trained to help you get in
and out of bed safely and assist with your general personal care.
Health Care
At Nowhere Like Home, we have caregivers who specialize
in caring for people with various health conditions, including
Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other mental
and physical conditions.
Nurse Care
Our RNs and RPNs will do dressings, change urinary
catheters, monitor your vital signs, and monitor and dispense your
medications.
Companionship
Our friendly caregivers will visit with you and
help you with correspondence, go for walks with you, and help you
with light chores.
Do you have a doctor’s appointment? Don’t
want to ask a relative to drive across the city just to take you
to the hairdresser? Is your usual caregiver tied up with work or
other commitments?
There’s no need to worry, our caregivers
will gladly accompany you on your appointments or shopping trips.
Palliative Care
The end of life can be a difficult experience
for clients and their families. No one should have to go through
this experience without support.
Our caregivers are specially trained to provide
end of life care to clients. We also provide support to families
and relatives during this time.
Respite Care
Many family members choose to care for their loved
ones and extended family. This provides enormous stress on the
care provider, who sometimes becomes ill from the demands of providing
ongoing care while juggling life’s other life’s activities.
Nowhere Like Home will provide relief for family
members caring for their loved ones, allowing them to have some “me” time
and take care of personal matters. Leave the care of your loved ones with our capable
caregivers, without the guilt.
We will also provide temporary care for your private
caregiver while they take vacation or time off to unwind and de-stress.
Friendly Re-Assurance
Do you worry about a loved one, who is independent
and lives alone? If something happens, how will you know? Are you living alone, have medic alert, but want
someone to know if something happens to you?
We will provide friendly re-assurance phone calls
or visits to ensure that you are OK and to re-assure your family
and loved ones.
Personal Assistance
Don’t you wish you had someone to pick
up some groceries or run some errands in the middle of winter? Tired of frozen food and longing for some good
home cooked meals?
Having some friends over and need an extra hand
